(transcrição do texto de Gonçalo Lopes, F. Olival e T. Miranda)
Lisboa , Colibri, CIDEHUS.UE, CHC.UNL , 2002

These manuscripts gazettes contain diversified news, especially related to the courtly environment: weddings, outgoing orders, robberies, obituary and above all Lisbon murmuring. The rest of the country and Europe also appears in these pages, but take much less space.

Notwithstanding some circulation, these gazettes escaped censorship. That explains their boldness and the details reported.

Évora collection is the most complete nationwide.

The volume above is a critical edition of moderate apparatus. A comparison with the Ajuda manuscript (the original is in the Libray of ajuda, in Lisbon)  published by Eduardo Brazão in Biblos, between 1940 and 1942, and with which overlaps in part, was made and the missing brochures in the Évora’s copy were transcribed and included in this publication.

As it is presented in the printed version, the onomastic, geographical and thematic indexes are available on Cidehus web page. All of them intend to be exhaustive. The full text of the gazettes has only a printed edition. It is to this pagination that the numbers of indices are resend.

The onomastic catalog is in alphabetic order according to the first name of the characters. It is the safest option for the period under consideration, once name and nickname changes were common.

In the case of the thematic index, the inputs were constructed based on semantic groups. To facilitate the retrieval of information, several remissive were made .

In any of the three indices spellings were fully updated.
