The Museums, Patrimony and Tourism | International Research Network aims at promoting international research in the areas of museum and tourism studies not only within the scope of traditional tourist gaze practices, but also focusing on the history of tourism and leisure and on the more contemporary exhibition canvas validated by current travelers.

Considering the particularities and the social transversal essence of tourism, the conducted research welcomes interdisciplinary academic inputs and debates produced by different social sciences. 

Forums, seminars and publications are the tools used to promote and disseminate the results of the research done by the network.
