Évora Museums Network
The activities to develop within the network, provisionally called "Evora Museums" have as main objective the recovery of the city, as far as they contribute to the safeguarding of its assets, to present the cultural facilities of Évora, its collections and activities and act as facilitators of living spaces, as a chance to capture and form new publics and the establishment of close relations with the community and foreigners.
The network, originally spurred by the University of Évora, has being constituted following an informal logic, based on voluntary and collaborative action of partner organizations, in a spirit of sharing that has for reference the plenary sessions of the responsible institutional representatives by consensus or majority simple, according to the definition of strategic guidelines to follow and determine the activities to be carried out.
Institutions involved: Direção Regional de Cultura do Alentejo, Câmara Municipal de Évora, Arquidiocese de Évora, Biblioteca Pública de Évora, Palácio Cadaval, Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, Museu do Relógio, Entidade Regional de Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo e Universidade de Évora.
