Introduction

This Master's Degree seeks to understand how, in the context of the Mediterranean, very different societies can know and live with others, and how, historically, this process has occurred, in the dynamics of interaction and exchange or of opposition and conflict between different cultures in presence. The proposed training model refers to an analysis centered on the Iberian Peninsula and calls for the cultural, social, political, economic and even spatial constructions that are configured with North Africa during the Medieval period (in broad sense). In this sense, it is intended to provide students with a training on the evolution of historical processes and provide them with a theoretical and methodological tool for the elaboration of works in the areas of medieval Christian and Muslim societies, establishing relationships and emphasizing interdependencies with the realities of the Mediterranean .
