A multidisciplinary team from the University of Évora intends to find solutions for the recovery of the economy based on historical and epidemiological evidence.
The impact that COVID-19 is having on our lives is already globally recognized as profoundly transformative and a structural change. RENASCER is a multidisciplinary team looking for economic policy instruments based on feasible and expeditious recovery trajectories. The team brings together big data, economics, epidemiology, biology, politics and history to study crises and recovery. The researchers involved intend to look for patterns that are not obvious in the most cited studies, made for big catastrophes or large economies.
The project's main goal is to find feasible and expeditious recovery paths that can be used as instruments of economic policy.
