Taxonomy of Portuguese Medieval History

The(12th -15th  centuries) is a result of the research work developed for the Doctoral Programme in Library and Information Science of the Universidade de Évora (2009-2014), in collaboration with the Departamento de Biblioteconomía y Documentación of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. This taxonomy, which is already available online as a list, is a controlled vocabulary whose goal is indexing the information associated with the world of Portuguese medieval studies found in specialized information/research units. Presently, it has 2987 terms, and it is constantly being updated and growing, as usual in the current collaborative and participatory web-based environment. So, this vocabulary is an open tool and it represents a first attempt at a terminological systematization of this chronology of Portuguese History.
